Cookie Policy
What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how ChinaIspp (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.chinaispp.com. It applies to visitors, buyers and suppliers, and it should be read together with our privacy notice. Where we refer to “cookies” we mean cookies, local storage and any other identifier stored on your device.
We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page views, such as whether you are signed in, or which language you chose. Some cookies are deleted when you close the browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies).
We also use your browser’s local storage for the same purpose where it is more efficient. The rules in this policy apply equally to that storage.
Our legal basis
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR, we may set strictly necessary cookies without consent because the site cannot function without them. Everything else — analytics, marketing and non-essential preferences — is set only after you give consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
We do not rely on “continued browsing” as consent. The banner stays until you make a choice, and refusing is offered at the same level as accepting.
Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Set before consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in, protects forms against cross-site request forgery, remembers your cookie choice, and routes language versions. | Yes — required |
| Analytics | Aggregated statistics about pages viewed, device type and search terms, so we can see which sourcing pages are useful. No advertising profile is built. | No |
| Marketing | Advertising, remarketing and conversion measurement for paid campaigns, including pixels that may recognise you on other sites. | No |
| Preferences | Non-essential choices such as preferred region, unit system or a dismissed panel. | No |
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
cispp_consent |
Stores your cookie choice, the categories allowed, a timestamp and the policy version, so we can prove consent and honour it. | 12 months | First party |
wordpress_logged_in_* |
Keeps a signed-in buyer or supplier authenticated. | Session, or 14 days with “keep me signed in” | First party |
wordpress_sec_* |
Security cookie used by WordPress for authenticated sessions. | Session | First party |
wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* |
Remembers admin interface preferences for staff accounts. | 1 year | First party |
pll_language |
Remembers the language version you selected, where a translation exists. | 1 year | First party |
Strictly necessary cookies are the only ones present on a first visit. If you accept analytics, marketing or preferences, the corresponding tags are enabled and may set their own cookies at that point.
Third-party requests that are not cookies
Some resources are loaded from external servers and therefore receive your IP address, even though they set no cookie. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts. If you prefer to avoid that request, you can block third-party fonts in your browser; the site remains usable with system fonts.
How to change or withdraw your choice
Click Cookie Settings in the footer of any page to reopen the preferences panel. You can switch categories on or off and save again; the new choice applies immediately and replaces the previous one. Withdrawing consent stops future use but does not make past processing unlawful.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and the request forms. The help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how.
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to keep marketing and analytics cookies off unless you explicitly turn them on.
Do Not Track
We do not currently respond to the legacy Do Not Track header, because no common interpretation exists. We do honour the consent choice you make in our own panel, which is the control that actually governs what runs here.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Requests about account data can be sent to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When we add a cookie or change a category, we update the version recorded inside cispp_consent. A version change invalidates earlier choices, so the banner asks again. The date below reflects the current version.
Last updated: 4 November 2026. Policy version 1.
